Visiting Guidelines

Welcome to Southern California Hospital at Van Nuys where the health and safety of our patients, families, and staff are our top priority. All guests (visitors and vendors) must check-in at the desk and obtain a visitor’s pass.

Visitation Hours

· Monday – Friday: 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

· Saturday - Sunday and Holidays: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Visitation Guidelines

· Up to two visitors at least 16 years of age can visit a patient/resident one time per day. The maximum visitation time is 15 minutes.

· To ensure the patient’s safety, one of our staff members will escort each visitor to the visitation area (visitors can’t roam the hallways).

· Visitors are only allowed in the designated visitation area:

o Unit 1: Dining room

o Unit 2: Dining room and/or Patio

· All approved visitors must:

o Check-in at the front desk and sign in with name, date, contact information and whom they will be visiting.

o Belongings must be checked at the lobby (security) for contraband. Visitors’ belongings, such purses or bigger items, are not to be brought in the unit. Lockers will be provided upon request.

· Visitors may not bring food for patients with the exception of sealed food for cultural or religious reasons, or by physician order. Fast food may not be ordered or brought in.

Failure to follow any of the guidelines stated will result in immediate removal from the hospital.
